With over 30 years’ practical aviation maintenance and audit experience gained predominantly from a military environment, and having extensive knowledge of aviation policy and regulation, Nick’s considerable technical expertise combined with his comprehensive knowledge of EASA Regulations, Human Factors and Error and Quality Management Systems ensures clients benefit from a down-to-earth, practical approach to solving airworthiness and safety-related issues.

Career background and experience

Nick completed a full career in military aviation maintenance, with management experience in an aircraft maintenance environment and the engineering support to embarked aviation operations. He has built extensive experience developing tri-service military aviation policy and regulation, including all aspects of the original Mil Part 145, Part M and Part 147. Nick has been heavily involved in the UK MoD Maintenance Approved Organisation Scheme (MAOS), both on the development side and in conducting compliance audits on behalf of the Military Airworthiness Authority (MAA) since its inception.

Nick’s career achievements include:

Management of single aircraft autonomous operations for extended deployed periods
Involvement in the development and implementation of the original UK MoD Mil Part 145, Part M and 147 regulations to civilian contractors
