Career Background and Experience

Prior to joining Baines Simmons Stuart enjoyed a 32 year career as a pilot in the Royal Air Force. Uniquely during his career, he had the opportunity to qualify and fly Operational missions in Rotary, Fast Jet and Multi Engine platforms. His Operational experience spanned Rotary counter-terrorism and Search and Rescue activity in Northern Ireland, Fast Jet missions during Gulf War 2 and further multiple tours in Iraq, Fast Jet missions during the Libya campaign and Multi Engine (Intelligence Surveillance Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance) missions in Eastern Europe. Outside of Front-Line flying Stuart held multiple full time and part time Air Safety Professional roles within Defence.
