The EMARs are military adaptations of the proven EASA airworthiness rules, behind each of which lies an intent to deliver the approved activity in a safe and efficient way, resulting in the highest levels of airworthiness.

EMAR 21 regulates the certification of military aircraft and related products, parts and appliances and design and production organisations.

Part M governs the establishment and functions of Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisations (CAMOs), referred to collectively in the UK as ‘MRP Part M Sub Part G’.

Part 145 regulates many of the core maintenance activities of both military-run maintenance organisations (known as Military Maintenance Organisations (MMOs)) and contractor-run maintenance organisations (known as Approved Maintenance Organisations (AMOs)).

Part 147/66 regulates the approval of Maintenance Training Organisations (MTOs) and Engineer Licensing.
