Obtaining an ETSO approval for a part (or appliance) is a challenge, working between the regulatory obligations and minimum performance standards creates a tight window for efficient product development. Subpart O obligations cross between both (A)DOA and the POA management systems.
So, even though you are generating an approved part (or appliance), how well do you perform in getting that approval? And, if you have an AP-DOA, what are your DOA options?

How will this course benefit me?
This one-day course takes a practical approach to Subpart O of Part 21. It provides the necessary insight to ensure your organisation is fully compliant to obtain and maintain approval, to allow the intelligent adoption of the regulatory intent, without adding any unnecessary bureaucracy which could stifle innovation and creativity that is so essential for the design of TSO applications.
Using industry experience and examples of best practice, you will explore the key features of the Part 21 Subpart O regulation so that you will not only be able to ensure your organisation is fully compliant, but also that compliance is achieved with minimum disruption to the existing management system.
Completing this course will:
• Increase your organisation’s levels of compliance by ensuring you are familiar with the rules
• Allow your organisation to not only be compliant, but know how to optimise performance
• Minimise risk to you and your organisation through unwitting non-compliance
• Increase your confidence to engage and discuss the regulation with regulatory authority staff
• Create a design philosophy to proactively consider safety and certification
Key areas of focus
• The TSO concept, its evolution to today and also tomorrow
• Setting your organisation up for TSOA success
• The TSO lifecycle, from application through to surrender or removal in service
• Identifying how dependent Subpart O is on POA and DOA/ADOA
• AP-DOA versus DOA obligations, with respect to ETSO and how organisations can transition up
