The risks associated with hazards seem obvious after an incident or accident; however, the initial identification and interpretation of hazards are some of the most challenging aspects of risk management. A Maintenance System Observation Programme (MSOP) adopts a proactive strategy to address this and gather objective safety data.
Effective MSOP observations improve safety, operational efficiency and reliability, offering learning opportunities without the negative consequences and associated costs of an incident or accident. This highly interactive and practical two-day course provides delegates with the necessary skills to carry out effective observations, identify threats that are present during normal aviation operations and deliver successful interventions and feedback.
This course is designed as a primary level observation course for Maintenance Organisations and focuses on front end delivery of operations. The programme can be further enhanced with observations within all support areas.
