Reporting is the lifeblood of any Safety Management System (SMS) and the basis on which effective risk decisions are made. Experience has shown that the quickest way to kill the flow of this essential safety information is to treat those people involved unfairly. One way of guarding against this is to implement a Just Culture: a balance between a wholly punitive and a blame-free culture. A just culture hinges on a collectively agreed and a clearly understood distinction between acceptable and unacceptable behaviour.
This workshop shows you how to implement, improve and maintain a just culture in your organisation, defining key terms and dispelling myths. The course also covers and introduction to the Baines Simmons FAiR 3™ model, using lots of practical examples.
