Modules Offered
1. Competence Discovery Workshop
We will validate your ideas and plans and enable you to discover what’s possible and what’s involved with being able to demonstrate a value-adding competence framework. We will identify the initial steps, key challenges and how to get started.
2. Gap Analysis – Policy / Process / Procedures / Facilities / Infrastructure / Competence
As a significant element of the Understand phase, we will complete an assessment of the differences between your current state and that required for the demonstration of an effective competence management framework. This encompasses high-level reviews of your facilities, resources, policy & procedures and staff competence, providing a clear understanding of what needs to be addressed during the preparation.
Our report will provide you with phased recommendations, forming a checklist or to-do list for the project.
3. Competence Management System Review or Development
We will review or provide guidance on the competence management structure, considering all relevant business activities and company structures. Our methodology includes an assessment of the clarity of ownership of responsibilities and functions that are encompassed within the management of competence.
4. Exposition / Handbook / Procedures Development Support or Independent ReviewDrafting
We will support you in drafting your Exposition / Handbook / Manuals and Procedures, embedding suitable pre-existing processes and other systems/material that define your methods of compliance. The format/template for any documents will be agreed upon, and content may be integrated into any document management or information system or document hierarchy that you may use.
Independent review
We will complete an independent review of your competence policies, processes and procedures in readiness for your regulator’s review, should you choose to draft them in-house.
5. Compliance Statement Generation
We recommend the compilation of a compliance statement, used for internal governance and demonstration of conformance to your Accountable Manager and your regulator. This may be developed as part of any independent pre-audit, separate compliance verification activity or preferably, as a living document used as a guide throughout the project.
